the fart-box does not at all sound like the real thing. it is also hard to hear and did not work but for 4 tries- i would have returned but was not worth the hassle or the shipping and handling. save your money–please

I bought the “Fart Box” for my husband on a whim. He loved it! I hate to say it, but we’ve had a lot of fun playing with it. It has very realistic farting sounds – some are short and sweet, and some are long and not so sweet, but all are innocent fun. I put the fart box in a drawer one evening after we were finished clowning around with it, and several hours later while I was watching TV alone I would intermittently hear a *fart* coming from somewhere else in the house. It took me a while to realize it was the fart box farting in the drawer. I had forgotten to turn the switch all the way to the “off” position and it would fart once or twice each hour.
It’s pretty durable but I’d still handle it carefully. I think if it got dropped it might would break. The remote control switch is small and easy to hide when operating the fart box. My husband shoved the fart box down his pants when he first got it and adjusted it so that it would not show. Then, when around the kids (ages 4 and 5) he would let it rip with farts. They thought it was hilarious!!! It was. Com’on! I know it’s crude humor but we humans have laughed at farts ever since we sat around fires in the caves!

We bought this for my 10 year old step son for Christmas. My children have all had so much fun with it. All of them. It has a little remote control and you can put the box under something and then push the button on the remote, and letter rip. I believe that there are 4 or 5 different fart sounds, it is hilarious for a kid who loves to joke and pick, they enjoyed this ALMOST as much as they enjoyed the flarp that their grandmother gave them!

Bought this for my son for his 11th b-day and he just thought it was the funniest thing! He loves it! Doesn’t really sound like “real” farts but it still puts a smile on everyones face!

Got this for my young nephew for Christmas (6 yr old) since his woopee cushion finally wore out. He had a blast with it at Christmas, especially with us adults all playing along. It does what is says, in that you can put the box in one room and use the remote in the next room to set it off. My one complaint is that the “fart” sounds are mechanical sounding; more what you would think a robot would let off, rather than a person. I find it hard to believe anyone would think it sounds like a real “fart”, but hey, a kid wouldn’t care, so I recommend this to anyone who is buying for a child who loves to play jokes and whose parents approve it before you buy it.
